Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills

This training is designed to give learners the underpinning knowledge, skills, and competence to use counselling skills ethically and safely in a variety of contexts and roles.

Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills

Level 3 Qualification is designed for candidates who have undertaken counselling skills training, e.g. our Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills or equivalent.

Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills

This course consists of a minimum of 90 guided learning hours and looks at how we can listen to and understand others better and help them to work towards their goals in life. There are thirty sessions each of three hours that may be offered in a number of formats, for example three sessions on a long Saturday once a month for ten months or twice a month for five months, or one evening a week for thirty weeks. How we offer the course will vary from centre to centre.

Waverley Certificate in Integrating Christian Faith, Religion, Spirituality with Counselling and Psychotherapy

Over the years, there has been resistance by some within the counselling profession to any notion of the concept of integrating Christian faith/religion/spirituality with the practice of counselling/psychotherapy. This programme therefore aims to provide attendees with a firm foundation and framework as to how to ethically, professionally, and competently integrate Christian faith/ religion/spirituality into their personal philosophy and practice of counselling/ psychotherapy. This programme is taught over three days, 9.30am-5.30pm. Delegates will receive a Waverley Certificate in integrating Christian faith, religion, spirituality with counselling and psychotherapy. The certificate will also confirm you have undertaken 18 hours of Continual Professional Development (CPD).

Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills & Theory

The Certificate in Counselling Skills & Theory (LEVEL 3) is an integrative approach to Christian counselling & pastoral care which introduces you to some of the core counselling skills. This course will provide you with a biblical framework, an introduction to a few Christian and Secular counselling models and some of the basic counselling skills needed to support others. You will also be given insights and understanding into some of the issues such as trauma, anxiety, and depression that you might encounter when helping others.

Certificate/Diploma in Counselling Supervision

Would you like to be able to provide supervisory support to counsellors in clinical practice? Our Diploma in Counselling Supervision is a short programme that will equip you with the skills, knowledge and professional development you need to advancing your counselling career whilst being a benefit to others. Together with expert practitioners, you will look at subjects like the roles, responsibilities and complexities of supervision; the ethical and legal responsibilities; and more. Allowing you to study around your current commitments, the programme is delivered over 4 training blocks of 3 days each, across 4 months.

Advanced Diploma in Counselling (level 5)

This is Network’s flagship course. Over two years we build the theoretical framework, practical skills and personal development needed to work as a professional counsellor.   It is suited to students who have completed substantial Certificate level training.  What makes this course different is its emphasis on the integration of faith, spirituality and counselling practice. In addition to covering the same ground that is covered by comparable humanistic and Person-Centred Diploma courses, this course will also give you the opportunity to develop your understanding of human spirituality and to explore the interface between your own developing spirituality and your practice.

Advanced Certificate in Counselling Skills (level 4)

Network is proud of the quality and professionalism of its training programme. We base our teaching on the belief that all individuals are a complex unity of body, mind, soul and spirit. In recognising the spiritual aspect as universal, we offer a dimension to our courses that we believe is unique in counselling training. This Advanced Certificate course is suitable for students wishing to train as counsellors, and progress to an Advanced Diploma level training – with Network or elsewhere. It is also ideal for those simply wishing to develop their listening and counselling skills for use in other roles and settings such as pastoral care, management, nursing or teaching.
