Two new roles with ACC

ACC is expanding and looking to fill two key roles, one focused on customer and membership services and operations, and the other on professional standards for counselling and psychotherapy.

These are:

We are looking for skilled and experienced people who have a heart for the ministry of ACC, supporting counsellors, psychotherapists and pastoral carers within a regulated framework of practice standards and ethics. You will join a small team who aim to make a big difference in the communities we serve.

Key information (applies to both roles):

  • Working hours

22.5 hours (ideally worked across 4 or 5 days per week).

  •  Salary and benefits

£20,865 per annum pro rata.

Pensions Scheme.

Annual Leave, 22 days per annum, including bank holidays.

ACC staff are based in the U.K. and work remotely.

Successful applicants must be able to work remotely, with regular (monthly) and ad hoc requirement to travel to attend face to face meetings and events. Travel and accommodation expenses for essential meetings will be re-paid through expenses, however the post holders must be resident in the UK.

Please note, these roles hold a Genuine Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 to be a practising Christian who assents to ACC’s Statement of Faith.

Appointments will be subject to:

  • Evidence of Right to Work in the UK,
  • Satisfactory references,
  • Satisfactory completion of a 3-month probationary period.
Counsellor with Rainbow Counselling

Rainbow Counselling, based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, has been established for more than twenty years. The vision at Rainbow Counselling has always been to have a team of qualified counsellors providing counselling services for both the church and the community.

At the heart of the Rainbow Counselling team, and underpinning their identity, is a Christian ethos and a commitment to embodying the love of God through their counselling work.

They are currently seeking to grow their team of counsellors who can work in person in South Yorkshire, Derbyshire, and the surrounding areas.

Counsellors will work in person either from the therapy room in Sheffield or from their own space, provided they are based in South Yorkshire, Derbyshire, or the surrounding areas. Applicants will need to be registered or accredited therapists with experience in addressing a range of needs in both short- and longer-term work.

The successful applicant will be on a Professional Standards Authority accredited register with a counselling and psychotherapy body (e.g. ACC, BACP, NCPS, UKCP), hold at least a diploma in counselling, and be familiar with person-centred, integrative, and/or psychodynamic practice. They should be able to offer a minimum of three hours on a regular day per week.

Rainbow Counselling operates from Monday to Saturday, so good availability is ideal.

From time to time, the team holds meetings to discuss Rainbow business, share good practice, and occasionally engage in continuing professional development (CPD). Attendance at these meetings is expected as part of the team.

Successful applicants will be in regular supervision, registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), and will need to have their own insurance in place.

Sessional counsellor at Counsel for Life

Counsellor needed

Counsel for Life is a long-established Counselling Centre based in South Woodford on the London/Essex border.  We are a charity based on Christian beliefs and values, delivering a BACP-accredited professional counselling service.  You can read more about us at www.cfl.uk.com

We are looking for someone to fill the role of part time sessional face-to-face Counsellor within our dedicated team of counsellors with the flexibility to also work online if required.  Working in person from our office and counselling room based in South Woodford E18, you will need to be BACP accredited or equivalent or working towards this accreditation and have experience in both open-ended and short term work.  The successful applicant will hold at least a diploma in counselling and be familiar with person-centered, integrative and/or psychodynamic practice and be able to offer a minimum of two hours on a regular day per week.  For face to face work applicants will need to have availability Monday-Thursday.  There is a requirement for attendance at monthly supervision with the agency. We would also expect any applicants to be in regular supervision and to have had experience of personal therapy.
