Counsellor with Rainbow Counselling

Rainbow Counselling, based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, has been established for more than twenty years. The vision at Rainbow Counselling has always been to have a team of qualified counsellors providing counselling services for both the church and the community.

At the heart of the Rainbow Counselling team, and underpinning their identity, is a Christian ethos and a commitment to embodying the love of God through their counselling work.

They are currently seeking to grow their team of counsellors who can work in person in South Yorkshire, Derbyshire, and the surrounding areas.

Counsellors will work in person either from the therapy room in Sheffield or from their own space, provided they are based in South Yorkshire, Derbyshire, or the surrounding areas. Applicants will need to be registered or accredited therapists with experience in addressing a range of needs in both short- and longer-term work.

The successful applicant will be on a Professional Standards Authority accredited register with a counselling and psychotherapy body (e.g. ACC, BACP, NCPS, UKCP), hold at least a diploma in counselling, and be familiar with person-centred, integrative, and/or psychodynamic practice. They should be able to offer a minimum of three hours on a regular day per week.

Rainbow Counselling operates from Monday to Saturday, so good availability is ideal.

From time to time, the team holds meetings to discuss Rainbow business, share good practice, and occasionally engage in continuing professional development (CPD). Attendance at these meetings is expected as part of the team.

Successful applicants will be in regular supervision, registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), and will need to have their own insurance in place.

For further details or to request an application form, interested individuals should email rainbowsheffield@gmail.com, providing their name, contact information, and availability.
